Our front beds were mostly weeds and two overgrown shrubs. The plant list they gave us actually made sense for the shade, and they explained what would fill in over the next couple of years. The front of the house looks cared for now without being fussy.
Water used to sit beside the patio every time it rained. They changed the grade, added a drain, and rebuilt the bed along that side. We have had two heavy storms since then and the puddle is gone.
The retaining wall turned out better than the sketch, and the crew cleaned the street and driveway before leaving. We finally use that corner of the backyard instead of ignoring it.
